Some cats do not prefer to be handled so before you start your procedure, start making your kitten comfortable around and play with your cat if necessary.

Examination:

lift your cats/kitten’s tail gently with one arm and hold him/her in the forearm with your other arm in your comfortable area, for e.g., your bed or couch and do not drop your cat. You can always ask

for a separate pair of hands for help. In case your cat opposes you to lift her/his tail, try a different technique to scratch her/him on the buttered, she/he will lift her tail herself/himself.
